About
The Ankara Club Association Ankara City Museum was established in 2021. It has a rich collection aimed at preserving, promoting, and passing on the cultural heritage of the capital city Ankara to future generations. The museum reflects Ankara’s cultural diversity through three main exhibition groups. The first section introduces Ankara’s clothing culture and social rituals using eighteen mannequins dressed in traditional costumes and jewelry. The second section features sixteen display cases containing traditional objects and values collected from the city’s outer districts. The third section exhibits fifty special papier-mâché dolls, showcasing the folkloric richness of Ankara and Anatolia. The museum’s collection also includes traditional Ankara rugs, musical instruments, and various ethnographic artifacts. The entire collection was donated by Dr. Metin Özaslan, President of the Ankara Club Association, reflecting his dedication to cultural heritage and his appreciation for the arts.
