About
The area, which was settled in during the Bronze, Hittite and Phrygian periods also saw settlements during Roman, Byzantian and Ottoman times. Ruins and a mosque from these periods can be visited at the village. Near the village there is a small manmade cave that is not very deep and thus thought to have been left half-done. This cave has a 2-metre-wide entrance and a depth of 2,5 metres. This rock shelter was registered as a first-degree archaeological site by the decision of the Protection Board in 1996.
