About
Located on the road leading to Çankırı, it is 78 kilometres away from Ankara. The castle dated to the Byzantine Period is constructed on the top of a hill. Having a passage to the mountains with a slope in the Southeast, it rises alone in the plain that leads to the Kızılırmak River. The castle was besieged and captured by the Seljuk Turks in 1075 and has been under the rule of the Turks since then.
